Creating your games
Print the file on card stock.
Laminate the game boards and word cards. Try printing the word cards on a darker color of card stock. This will make it so students cannot see through the cards.
Cut apart the word cards.
Pair each board with the matching cards. Students will need game markers to play
You might glue the board on the inside of a file folder. You can then add a pocket and place the cards inside. This will help make storage easier.
Playing these spring short vowel games
Students start with a marker at the beginning of the game.
Have students shuffle the cards and place them face down.
The first player draws a card and moves it to the first rhyming word.
Play continues around the board until the first player gets to the end.
