Children have fun cutting out and unscrambling the words to create meaning.

The pages are fun because they are more than a worksheet where children are simply filling in responses.

I love that activities such as these give students different types of fine motor practice.

You will have eight pages for your children to choose from – let them pick the pages they like best.

Why are these a great way for students to practice sentences?

There are so many great aspects of an activity such as this one.

I love that it gets children to practice different fine motor skills.

They will be cutting, gluing, drawing and even coloring!

Not only are practicing these skills beneficial to your child’s development, they are also engaging.

Along with the fine motor practice, students will also be working on literacy skills.

They will be reading words and making meaning out of a collection of words.

Finally, they will be working on comprehension skills.

How to use these spring cut-up sentences

Begin by having children choose their favorite page.

Then, students will cut apart the words at the bottom of the page.

The next step is for students to unscramble the words to make a sentence that makes sense. They will use all of the words and the punctuation mark.

Once your students have created their sentences, have them glue the words.

The final step is for them to illustrate their sentence. This step helps them focus on comprehension.
