Ending blends are sounds that “blend” together to form a sound although children are able to stretch out the sound to hear both letters. You might also hear these letter combinations referred to as consonant clusters.
For these pages, I focused on blends containing S and R. Each blend found in these pages has two letters.
The blends include the following: rd, rf, rk, rl, rm, rn, rp, rt, sk, sp and st.You might also like this first set of cut and paste pages: Ending Blends Cut & Paste #1.
Looking for a way to practice these ending blend words before using paper and pencil? You might start by encouraging your children to go on a word hunt in a favorite book.
Each child can pick a favorite story and you can make a list of the words you find.
This will be an easy activity to add to a phonics lesson during a virtual class meetings.

There are a range of pages for different levels of need. Some require students to cut and paste the trigraphs only. Others will have students cut and paste the whole word or a picture.
