Working on Color Words
Are you looking for some fun ways to work on color words with your children?
My friend’s son completed a fun assignment last spring as a part of his e-learning. I think it is an activity that many children will enjoy!
He was instructed to look around his room and gather objects of all colors and assemble them to make his own color wheel.
I think the end result was so fun!
Here is a picture of what he created:
You could even extend the activity by having your children write the color words on cards. They could then place the colors around the wheel.
These Printable Color Booklets
Print the pages – either single sided or front to back. Cut the pages in half and staple to create your booklets.
You will find two designs to download.
The first booklet contains a color word written in bubble letters. There are then an assortment of four pictures for each color word. After coloring the word, students can color the pictures.
The second booklet will have students color and trace the color word. The bottom of the page has a sentence about the color along with two pictures to be colored.
Once the second booklet is colored, you can have your children practice reading.
